Maplewood Police Report 2 Assailants Robbed Hughes St. Home Brandishing Knife

The following release is from Maplewood Police Officer Bruno Marto:

On Friday December 15, 2023 at approximately 10:20 PM, Maplewood Police Officers responded to a Hughes St residence on a report of a robbery. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that the Hughes St resident went to answer a knock at their door, when two males pushed their way inside banishing a kitchen knife. Once inside the males stole cell phones,
other electronic devices, and two bags of clothing and personal items. The suspects were described as:

Suspect #1 – Black male approximately 25-35 years of age, 5’5” in height, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, a ski mask covering his face, and gray pants.

Suspect #2 – Black male approximately 25-35 years of age, 6’0” in height, heavier build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, a ski mask covering his face, and black pants.

All residents declined any medical attention. Maplewood Police Detectives responded to process the scene. There will be extra patrols assigned to the area, and expect a greater police presence while the investigation continues.
