On Saturday, March 17, the Township of Maplewood hosted a great grand opening at the Maplewood Senior Citizen Center at 106 Burnett Avenue. Corned beef and cabbage and other selections were enjoyed by all attendees.

The space, which the town purchased for $400,000 in 2016, will be used for age-friendly fitness, art classes, educational seminars, programming and special events. The building was formerly used as the First Maplewood Baptist Church and was completely ADA compliant. The property abuts DeHart Park and is close the new Maplewood Crossing apartments.
