PHOTOS: Maplewood & South Orange Co-Host Transgender Day of Visibility March 31

Maplewood and South Orange leaders co-hosted an observance of international Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) on Sunday, March 31 at Maplewood Town Hall. The event included a joint proclamation from the two towns, comments from members of the transgender community and the raising of the transgender flag.

Those present included Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, former Governor and current state Senator Dick Codey, Director of Trans United Kristen Browde, Maplewood Committeeman Dean Dafis, South Orange Village President Sheena Collum, South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education member Shannon Cuttle; Cecilia Cranko, Joan Howlett, Aaron Potenza, Gary Paul Wright, Robert Seda-Schreiber, Laura Gilkey, Jan Kaminsky, Maplewood Deputy Mayor Frank McGehee and Maplewood Committeewoman Nancy Adams.
