Maplewood to Host Medicare for All Forum on March 16

From Maplewood Senior Share and SOMA Action:

The Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act of 2019 (H.R. 676) seeks to improve and expand the Medicare program in place for the last 50-plus years to all residents of the U.S. It seeks to provide quality health care with comprehensive benefits to all living in the U.S.

On March 16 at 10:00 a.m., Bennet Zurofsky, Dr. Lloyd Alterman and Edgar Brisbon will present all aspects of the bill to the public at the Maplewood Senior Center, 106 Burnett Ave in Maplewood, NJ.

The bill is sponsored by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington State.

“Hear about how this country can free itself from many of the pitfalls of the current employee engineered health care system,” says Irene Dunsavage of Maplewood Senior Share. “No longer can we leave behind 33 million who are uninsured and the more than 36 million who are underinsured.”

This event is co-sponsored by Maplewood Senior Share and SOMA Action.
