Local farmers markets will be operating through the end of October — and in some cases into November.

The Maplewood Farmers Market, which graces the Indiana Street parking lot on Springfield Avenue every Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. (daylight permitting) usually stops at the end of October. However, Cesar Correa, Assistant Township Administrator, reports that all the vendors have agreed to extend the market through Monday, November 10.

The Millburn Farmers Market, which takes place on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Main & Essex in Downtown Millburn, is set to run through Tuesday, November 11.

The South Orange Farmers Market, located at 1st Street at Sloan in South Orange Village Center, is scheduled to end on Wednesday, October 29. The market takes place every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. through that date. At the final market day on October 29, the market will be giving out pumpkins to kids (limited supply) and will have pumpkin painting on site, according to South Orange Village Center Alliance Executive Director Bob Zuckerman.
