Connor, Former Pres. of S. Orange Rescue Squad, Passes Away

Longtime South Orange resident and volunteer Mary L. Connor died at home on July 17, according to an obituary in the Star Ledger. She was 82.

Connor held numerous offices in the South Orange Rescue Squad, including president and captain, and was the first lioness in the South Orange Lions Club, according to the obituary. An employee in the insurance industry, she also was a volunteer at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Wednesday, July 22, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is private.
