From Score Samurai:
I’m Sensei Jay, The SAT Sensei, founder of Score Samurai. I teach the Digital SAT one-on-one over Zoom, and I’d like Village Green readers to know about my free written Diagnostic before the December 5 SAT.
The calendar is tight this fall. Students who sat the SAT on November 7 get their scores on November 20, the regular deadline to register for December 5. Late registration stays open until November 24, which gives a family four days to look at the new scores and decide.
That decision is about whether a retake makes sense and what to work on first, and the Diagnostic is built for it. A student or parent fills in a short form at scoresamurai.com/diagnostic with a recent SAT, PSAT or practice test score.
It takes about two minutes, and no new test is needed to start. Within 24 hours, I send back a written read on where the points are going and what to fix first, in the order those misses cost points.
A lot of students have already tried free apps and AI tools before they reach me. The way I see it, AI can answer the question. It cannot see why this student keeps missing it, and that’s what I look for in every Diagnostic.
If a family wants to talk it through, there’s an optional 15-minute Zoom with me after the written Diagnostic arrives. Sessions run 50 minutes, one-on-one, and I teach every one myself.
