South Orange Hometown Holidays Offer Pop ‘n Shop, Jelly Donuts, Tree Lightings, More

South Orange is turning into a Holiday event production machine with THREE tree lightings in varied locations for the second Holiday season running.

Plus there’s the Holiday Pop ‘n Shop store, a menorah lighting, photos and a parade with Santa, and more.

Seton Hall University, Dec. 1 & 2

Seton Hall University has invited the South Orange community and beyond to celebrate Christmas at the Hall onTuesday, December 1, 2015. The celebration includes singing along to Christmas carols with the campus choirs, pictures with the Seton Hall Pirate, free hot chocolate and other special holiday treats. Christmas at the Hall will begins with a Mass at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at 5:00 p.m. and the Sixth Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on the University Green at 5:45 p.m.

Christmas at the Hall continues on Wednesday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m., with the annual Seton Hall University Winter Holiday Concert held at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC). The concert is free and open to the public, but it is strongly recommended that you reserve tickets in advance by calling the SOPAC box office at (973) 313-2787 or visiting https://www.sopacnow.org/setonhall-university-winter-holiday-concert.

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. It’s the second annual Seton Village “Light Up the Holidays” Tree Lighting on South Orange’s Irvington Avenue.

Join the Seton Village community as it gets into the holiday spirit with the following:
• Holiday tree lighting
• Pictures with Santa
• Kids’ crafts
• Live music
• Refreshments
• Seton Village restaurant specials
And MANY MORE SURPRISES!!

The event takes place at Irvington Avenue and West Fairview Avenue, South Orange, NJ.

South Orange Village Center Menorah Lighting Dec. 6, ‘Hometown Holiday’ Dec. 12

The South Orange Menorah Lighting Ceremony will take place Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in Spiotta Park including music, hot chocolate and jelly donuts.

Hometown Holiday South Orange

South Orange Village‘s Hometown Holiday celebration returns Sat., Dec. 12. Festivities include:

– Pictures with Santa at the South Orange Firehouse on Sloan Street from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
– Mark Murphy music at the Firehouse from 3:30 to 4:30.
– Maria Priadka dance performance from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Firehouse
– Become one of Santa’s elves (join him at 5 p.m on his journey form the Firehouse to the tree lighting)
-tree lighting at 76 South Orange Avenue 5:15 p.m.
– Holiday concert, 76 South Orange Avenue from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The South Orange Menorah Lighting Ceremony takes place on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in Spiotta Park and includes music, hot chocolate and jelly donuts.

South Orange Pop ‘n Shop, Dec. 3-6, 10-13

Pop 'n Shop pop up shop

The South Orange Pop ‘n Shop at 65 South Orange Avenue will feature 25 local vendors selling everything from art to clothing to decor and jewelry and Holiday-themed items. The Pop ‘n Shop will be open for two weeks for all your holiday shopping needs — from Thursday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 6 and again from Thursday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 13. Each day, the shop will be open from noon – 8 p.m.
