Waste Management, one of two approved carters of trash for Maplewood residents (the other is Waste Industries), has announced changes to its bulk item pickup.
From the Township of Maplewood:
Waste Management recently announced changes to your Bulk item collection. In an effort to simplify the process and provide an improved experience Waste Management will be making the following changes:
- 1 Bulk item per week will be collected – replacing the one time per month collection.
- Bulk collection will occur on your regular trash day – 1 item per week allowed.
- No need to call to schedule – just put your item out on your trash day and Waste Management will collect it.
Same guidelines and acceptable items will apply. If you find you have additional items in need of collection you may contact Waste Management Customer Service at 1-866-909-4458 and schedule removal at an additional cost.
The change will go into effect the week of June 6, 2016.
