South Orange Police arrested two Columbia High School students on June 12 for allegedly stealing a bicycle from a residence on Milton Place, said Chief James Chelel.
At approximately 9:45 a.m., a neighbor saw the teens enter the property and remove the bicycle. Officers arrested the two, a 15-year-old South Orange resident and a 17-year-old Maplewood resident, as they were trying to flee the scene, said Chelel.
During the arrest, officers found marijuana on the 15-year-old, Chelel said. Both were charged with theft and the 15-year-old was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Theft from vehicle
Sometime between 6:30pm and 11:00pm an unknown actor(s) attempted to remove wheels belonging to a 2013 Infiniti that was parked in the Transit lot adjacent to Church St. The actor(s) had damaged the door lock to the vehicle and then removed a jack and wrench from the trunk of same. Lug nuts were removed from several wheels before the actor(s) fled the area. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
Shoplifting
On 6-11-15 at approximately 5:40pm an unknown actor described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt and dark colored jeans entered a liquor store located on Valley St. and removed a bottle of whiskey before fleeing the establishment with same.
Theft of tires
Sometime during the evening hours of 6-14-15 an unknown actor(s) removed four wheels belonging to 2003 BMW that was parked on Valley St. at a mechanics shop. The unknown actor(s) also stripped the vehicle of other body parts before fleeing the area. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident

Sometime between 6:00pm and 11:00pm an unknown actor(s) removed four wheels from a vehicle (2014 Acura) that was parked in the Transit lot adjacent to Church St.
Theft of bicycle
A juvenile stated that sometime between 8:00am and 3:00pm on 6-12-15 an unknown actor removed his bicycle, a blue and white Trek mountain bike from the bike rack at the middle school.
