Tad Niedzielski, of New Providence, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born in Rzeszow, Poland, Tad immigrated to the United States with his family in 1970. An extraordinary athlete, he qualified for the Polish Olympic track and field team before coming to America. His lifelong love of sports continued through his passion for tennis, skiing, and following the athletic accomplishments of his family.
Tad built a life defined by hard work, entrepreneurship, friendship, and family. He was the founder of ERA Sunday Realty in Union, New Jersey and AmTech Steel in Glogow, Poland. In retirement, he enjoyed working alongside his son at N&K Prime Marketplace in Maplewood, where he loved connecting with customers, sharing stories, and perfecting family recipes.
He was loved by so many and had a special way of making everyone he met feel welcome, valued, and important. His warmth, humor, optimism, and genuine love of people left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He had an incredible ability to see the good in life and share that positive spirit with everyone around him.
Music and art were lifelong passions for Tad. He proudly maintained an extensive record collection and, in Poland, shared his love of music as a DJ at Radio Rzeszow. He had a deep appreciation for art, and his home was filled with pieces he loved and admired.
Above all, Tad cherished his family. He was happiest surrounded by those he loved, especially his five grandsons, whom he proudly supported as they played soccer, basketball, and baseball. His encouragement, joy, and infectious enthusiasm will remain with them always.
Tad was the beloved husband of Christine (née Rzegocki); loving father of Agnes Cronin and her husband, Michael, and Teddy Jacob Niedzielski and his wife, Nicole Landow; cherished grandfather of Daniel, Thomas, and Charles Cronin and Jake and Owen Niedzielski; and dear brother of Marta Knauff. He was predeceased by his parents, Matylda (née Was) and Julian Niedzielski.
Visitation was held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, Berkeley Heights, on Friday, August 28, with Funeral Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, August 29, followed by burial.
