Two Cars Stolen, One from Springfield Ave. Service Station, Police Say

The following is from Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Department.

October 5, 2015; Stolen Motor Vehicle; Between 9 PM and 11 PM a Honda was stolen from Chancellor Ave. It was later recovered in Newark

October 6, 2015; Theft from Auto; An unsecured vehicle parked on Oberlin St had change removed from it during the overnight hours.

October 6, 2015; Stolen Motor Vehicle; At approximately 7:45 PM a vehicle was stolen from the lot of Richard’s Service Station on Springfield Ave.

October 10, 2015; Theft of Tires/Rims; During the overnight hours the tires and rims were stolen from four Jeeps. Two of the vehicles were on Walton Rd, one on Burnet St and one on Elmwood Ave.

The Maplewood Police Department works hard to protect the residents and their property. We are asking that you assist us in this effort by making sure all vehicles and homes are properly secured at all times. Thank you
