The Township of Maplewood is serious about the health of its residents.
Case in point: The Township unveiled $26,015 worth of new fitness equipment at DeHart Park on Saturday, August 2.
Six pieces of permanent equipment were introduced to the public at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The equipment was paid for through a grant from the NJ Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and the Town’s Open Space Trust Fund.
Mayor Vic DeLuca was on hand, as were Township Committee members Marlon Brownlee and Jerry Ryan, Township Administrator Joseph Manning, Director of Recreation and Cultural Affairs Keith Knudsen, and Maplewood resident Sharon Roerty.
DeHart Park is located behind the DeHart Community Center on 120 Burnett Avenue.
