The Columbia High School Music Parents’ Association will be hosting “Dance for a Cause,” a rocking and rollicking fundraising event this Saturday, February 20, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the South Orange Elks Club.
The price of admission is $20/person at the door. Cash bar.
Although CHSMPA is fundraising for the kids’ musical programs, “Dance for a Cause” is an adults-only dance party open to all grownups in the area.
Performing will be Mood Ring. Interestingly, five of the eight members of Mood Ring are CHS parents:
- Mike Choi
- Dave Gomberg – CHS parent
- Nate Knight – parent of CHS graduate
- Bill Pearsal – CHS parent
- Tom Pietrycha
- Glenn Martin
- Andre Schutz – CHS parent
- Marina Stern – CHS parent
In addition to Mood Ring, DJ James Buttros will be spinning tunes. Buttros also has a son at CHS.
The South Orange Elks Club is located at 220 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ.
