The South Orange Food Stroll & Pub Crawl, held on Sunday, May 15, was an unqualified success, drawing around 400 “strollers” to South Orange Village to sample food and beverages from the town’s diverse restaurants and bars.
The brainchild of the South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA), the Stroll & Crawl saw participating restaurants setting up tasting stations inside their stores; attendees who had purchased $15 wristbands (discounted or free for the little ones) were able to taste delicious treats from more than a dozen restaurants, special drinks from local watering holes, and discounts and promos from stores.
Attendees used a map to find their way around town to all the goodies.
“People had a blast,” said SOVCA Executive Director Bob Zuckerman. “We’re definitely doing this again next year; hopefully with warmer temperatures!”
