On November 20th, visitors to the South Orange Public Library could not suppress their smiles, children’s eyes danced. Between the usual book displays, desks, equipment and even the bookshelves themselves dazzling signs of the holidays were on display. The Friends of SOPL Annual Holiday Boutique was in full swing.

Each year the Friends invite local craftspeople and artisans to sell their creations during the holiday season. They receive a percentage of vendors’ sales to use in supporting their mission. The residents satisfy their need for special gifts, but their hard-earned dollars stay in South Orange.

Special thanks go to the chairs of the event Harriet Katz, Carolyn McGee Mohn, and Anne Simms and Julianna Korbus and the Seton Hall Service Fraternity.
