Jordan Muhammad Wins for Shakespeare in Love; CHS Nominated in 6 Categories for Foxy Awards

The Shakespeare in Love production by Columbia High School’s Parnassian Society was nominated for six Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards — or Foxy Awards — and garnered a win in the outstanding performance by a lead actress category for Jordan Muhammad.

Theatre Night Awards recognize excellence in the production of high school and middle school straight plays throughout New Jersey.

The CHS nominations were for:

  • Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design
  • Outstanding Achievement in Scenic Design
  • Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film – Sam Magdanz
  • Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film – Jordan Muhammad
  • Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film
  • Outstanding Production of a Drama Stage Adaptation of Literary Work or Film

The Montclair State Theater Night Awards ceremony was held at MSU’s Memorial Auditorium, Monday, May 20.
