This fall, Matters Magazine is celebrating women in the Maplewood-South Orange business community. All stories in the fall edition of the magazine feature women and girls.
In addition, the issue contains a special section devoted to local business women — entrepreneurs in fields ranging from architecture and beauty to speech pathology, publishing and financial services.
Jamie Meier of Live Love Lens Photography captured man of the women visually (some photos were submitted) while Alma Victor of Staynd Color provided hospitality and salon services. Erin Williams of Erin’s Faces and Lauren Chapman of Beautycounter used their artistry in makeup application while Kimaya Salaskar Thakrar of Kimaya Kama consulted on wardrobe and accessories.
Besides having fun getting to know one another, Matters publisher and editor-in-chief Ellen Donker writes that the women “delighted in the camaraderie that seems to come so naturally to women, the desire to collaborate, and the encouragement for one another’s chosen path.”
