The South Orange Pop ‘n Shop is back and bigger than ever this holiday season. The temporary store, sponsored by the South Orange Village Center Alliance, will once again be doing business in the center of South Orange and driving sales and excitement during the crucial holiday shopping season.
“We are in the former Blockbuster Video space, right down the street from last year’s location,” says Bob Zuckerman, Executive Director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA).
If you’re not familiar with the Pop ‘n Shop, it’s a space opened seasonally where artisans can show and sell handmade goods. “Most of the items we will have are only available here,” says Zuckerman.
The larger space mean this year’s Pop ‘n Shop can double last year’s number of artisans. There are over 40 vendors, each a local artist, designer or craftsperson.
“This year, we will have a lounge with couches, snacks and charging stations,” says Zuckerman. The lounge area is sponsored by Kitchen a La Mode, so you can expect the snacks to be delicious.
This year’s vendors include some well-known names such as Feyin Candles, Stitch Witch Me dolls, LL Metalworks, and Second Stage Creations pottery. And the icing on this holiday cake is complimentary gift wrapping, so your gift is ready to give as you walk out the door.
The Pop ‘n Shop is open for two long weekends from noon to 8pm each day: December 8-11 and December 15-18.
