POSTPONED: Maplewood Grille Moves 1st Anniversary Celebration to Jan. 12

Note: The celebration, originally scheduled for December 15, has been postponed until January 12 due to the weather. 

It has been one year since Andres Ulloa and Christopher Burtt took over The Maplewood Grille (formerly the Maplewood Deli & Grille). The owners renamed the to better reflect the menu, which features Colombian and American cuisine.

To celebrate the anniversary, Ulloa and Burtt will host a special celebration on Thursday, January 12 (previously scheduled for Dec. 15) with a live band and a champagne toast at 7 p.m. Throughout the month they will offer specials, such free Empanadas with a meal. The Maplewood Grille features dishes like Carne Asada (marinated flank steak in chimchurri sauce) and Maduros (fried sweet plantains), as well as Jamaican Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Hamburgers, Wraps, Paninis and Salads. The dining room can accommodate up to 40 peoplefor breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. In warmer months, there are additional tables outside — complete with great people watching in Maplewood Village! Each month the restaurant features the work of a different local artist, with an opening event — including live music — the first Thursday of the month.

Maplewood Grille also recently added a Family Meal that can feed a family of 4 for under $50 — perfect to grab on the way home from the train.
