Kick off the new school year on Tuesday, September 6 with a little fun for a great cause — Columbia High School Boosters and CHS Lacrosse.
On Tuesday, September 6, the CHS Booster Club will be hosting a “no frills” thank-you golf tournament at the Maplewood Country Club. The tournament will provide the chance to play on MCC at a friendly rate and support Columbia High School Lacrosse, raising funds through a putting contest, closest-to-the-pin contests, and a 50-50 raffle at St. James’s Gate Publick House afterwards.
The goal is to raise enough money ($2,500) to pay for new helmets with the support of the school athletic budget.
If you want to help support the cause and can’t make it — no worries: send a tax deductible check made payable to Maplewood Lacrosse Club with “CHS Lacrosse” in the memo. (Details below.)

Cost: $125
Includes Continental Breakfast, golf with cart
Tee off 10 a.m.
Halfway House will be open, cash only (but free beer)
Arrangements have been made with St. James Gate for a get-together after golf (details to follow).
Shamble Format
After tee off, team selects best drive amongst them and from that position all play their own balls until they hole out. Low score of hole is counted (you can play your own ball if you want).
