From the South Mountain YMCA:

The South Mountain YMCA strives to partner with schools and the community in aligning our programs. The work we’ve done so far and continue to do would not be possible without the generosity of one of our donors, Tom Kerns.

Tom embodies a love for humanity through his strong commitment to serve this community by sharing his resources to impact the social and emotional well-being of our youth at the Y. As a Program Champion for the Y, Tom’s donation has enabled us to implement Mindfulness programs in our after-care sites. The impact has been significant. At the Y, we find Mindfulness helps our kids manage stress more effectively and self-regulate their feelings better.

At our 2020 Annual Campaign Kick-Off on Friday night, we said thank you to Tom and celebrated him with our inaugural Donor Community Impact Award.
