America’s Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Poets

Through their lyrics, the great songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s documented some of the most complex and fascinating times in American history. Instead of dashing off pop songs about teenage love, these musicians composed eloquent songs that reflected the political and cultural upheaval going on around them. Take a journey through those two tumultuous decades in which musicians emerged as the great poets of their generation.
