Auditions for Maplewood Strollers Children’s Show

The Maplewood Strollers, announce auditions for their children’s show, “The Day the Rainbow Broke Up.”
Adults, teens, and kids over 7 are welcome.
Auditions will consist of reading scenes from the script with other auditioners, some easy dance movement, and a little singing for those who would like to take part in the music of the show. Some parts might be double-cast.
Rehearsals will begin immediately, as holiday conflicts allow. They will be regular in the new year. From Jan 22, all cast members need to be available weekday evenings and weekend afternoons for full cast rehearsals.
About the show:
The seven colors of the rainbow have a big fight and break up. As each color goes off to be the rainbow on their own, they encounter creatures from nature who try to show them the error of their ways. But will the colors learn the lesson? Can the rainbow be saved?
Characters:
The colors (kids of different ages; gender neutral)
(The actors will greatly determine the personality of their colors, so these descriptions are general and changeable)
Red (a happy loner who just wants a little me-time)
Orange (a bit dramatic, and a bit of a worrywart)
Yellow (a natural leader, but kind of bossy too)
Green (a peacemaker whose had enough)
Blue (a chill dude, not a fan of negative energy)
Indigo (snooty and haughty, but lovable down deep)
Violet (high-key emotional and on fleek)
The creatures (adults and teens; gender neutral)
Indigo bunting birds
Tree (and shrubs)
Butterfly(ies)
Lion (and other safari animals)
Fish and sidekick Tiny Bubbles
Rose and Bud(s)
Bee (and swarm)
