Broadway Buddy Mentorship Cabaret presented by Vanguard Theater Company

Vanguard Theater Company’s Broadway Buddy Program is an outreach program designed to offer a diverse group of emerging musical theater artists (ages 12-24) a unique opportunity for one-on-one mentorship with professional theater artists. The program gives youth and young adults the opportunity to develop supportive relationships with Broadway professionals who serve as advocates and artistic coaches. The program culminates with a cabaret performance at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Monday, May 1.
Founded in 2015 by veteran actors and educator s Janeece Freeman-Clark and Daryl Stewart, the Vanguard Theater Company is a unique 501©(3) theater company dedicated to diversity, creativity, community engagement and inclusion. Vanguard serves people of all ages, races, genders and nationalities in Northern New Jersey. The organization is committed to producing collaborative and re-imagined musical theater works through diversity in casting and professional artistic mentorship.
