Have your children ever asked if someone is a boy or a girl? Have you thought of the importance of discussing gender identity with them? Has your child ever expressed that they do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth? Join us for an open discussion on how to address gender identity with our children. We will focus on the importance of raising children who are respectful and embracing of gender diversity.
For parents, caretakers, family, friends, and anyone who works with children and adolescents. Refreshments will be served.

Dr Avilés, PsyD, LMHC, LPC is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Gender Specialist and an AASECT certified Sex Therapist. She provides psychological care and professional training, and regularly speaks on gender identity, gender dysphoria, and related topics.
