Drawing D-Day is Ugo Giannini’s testimony in words and imagery of that historic day. His drawings are the only know ones from D-Day. Interspersed with letters home, they depict the horror of war in a deeply personal way. Maxine Giannini, Ugo’s wife, will tell the story behind the drawings and the transformative experience that is unique to the infantry soldier.
