Expert Labor Law Attorney to Address the Advantages of a Single Payee Health Care System in NJ

Labor law attorney, Bennet Zurofsky, a member of the NJ Universal Health Care Coalition (NJUHCC), will discuss the benefits of a single payee health care system following the existing Medicare model. According to Mr. Zurofsky, the plan would provide quality health care for all New Jerey residents, at a lower cost – it is estimated that NJ would save at least $2.2 billion per year.

According to the NJUHCC, the plan would not restrict, delay or deny care; Would allow patients to choose their own providers;Would ensure an adequate number of qualified health care professionals and facilities to guarantee availability of — and timely access to — quality care throughout the State; And would reduce health care disparities by race, age, gender, income, sexual orientation, disability, religion and geographic region.
