Free First Thursday Nights at MAM

Join us for Free First Thursday Nights at MAM every month from October through June,  5–9 p.m., and enjoy an evening of free art and dynamic programming.

FEATURED PROGRAMMING:

• Free admission to MAM’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, 5–9 p.m. Take a tour at 6:30 or 7:30 p.m.
• do it at Free First Thursday Night – Free First Thursday Night provides new opportunities to interact with the do it exhibition. Hum your way into a gallery, see newly rotated artworks, speak nonsense words at an open mic instruction, and more! The Montclair State University Students who completed the Sol LeWitt wall drawing will be on site to discuss their experience.
• Full-service bar with special Free First Thursday Night prices. The Art Bar at MAM is provided by Upstairs and NJ Beer Co. MAM members receive a special discount on drinks at the bar! Cash and credit card accepted.
• Yard School of Art Draw Along Workshop
• Live music with the Silver Fox Songs Quartet
• Kids’ Creativity Center lets parents make a play date with art! Appreciate the full experience of Free First Thursday Night while your kids (ages 5+) are engaged in an age-appropriate art project in our new Helen and Bill Geyer Art Studio. • It’s Alzheimer’s Awareness Month! Stop by to learn more from our community partner Alzheimer’s NJ.
• Meet our friends from NJPAC and discover highlights from their upcoming season.
• Students from Renaissance at Rand Middle School hope to make a big impact on the alarming decrease of local and migrating bird populations as part of the First Lego League Animal Allies challenge. Stop by their community table to discover how to both protect and create safe habitats in our own backyards.
• Grab a bite from Empanda Guy, and enjoy a tea tasting with Cha Ma Gu Dao.
