1978 Maplewood Arts Center presents FRESH 8.0, the 8th Annual Advanced Placement Art Students Exhibit. This exhibit celebrates the talent and energy of our next generation of art stars. Advanced Placement Studio Art students demonstrate the skills and ideas developed, refined, and applied throughout high school to produce visual compositions worthy of college credit. The show highlights the savvy and skill of students from Columbia HS, Arts HS, West Essex Regional HS, Governor Livingston HS and Elizabeth HS Upper Academy.
FRESH 80 is curated by Onnie Strother, former art teacher and Education Committee chair for 1978.
The exhibit runs from December 19, 2015 thru Sunday January 10, 2016
Gallery 1978 hours are Saturdays and Sundays 2-5pm, and by appointment.
All are invited to the Opening Reception on Sunday December 20, 2-5pm. with light refreshments and hot entertainment.
Gallery 1978 is located at 1978 Springfield Ave, at the corner of Broadview in Maplewood. The Gallery’s website is 1978artscenter.org.
