GREENHOWIWANTYOUGREEN Performance Piece by Artist David Antonio Cruz

By popular demand, we are very excited to host an encore of David Antonio Cruz’s live performance of ‘greenhowiwantyougreen’, presented with a full cast.
greenhowiwantyougreen is an experiential, bilingual performance based on the last eleven poems, Sonnets of Dark Love, by the Spanish poet Garcia Lorca. The poems were banned for 50 years after his assassination in 1936. The music arrangement is composed and arranged by collaborating artist Daniel de Jesus.
Participating artists include: Elia Alba, Daniel de Jesus, Diego Carvajal, Jennifer Jade Ledesna, and Lisa Rosetta Strum. The performance will begin promptly at 7:30 and follow with a cocktail reception.
This performance is part of David Antonio Cruz’s exhibition For I am, or I was. the returnofthedirtyboys.
