Ideas Festival Kcikoff: Art & Music Reception

Maplewood Library is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2015 Maplewood Ideas Festival, featuring authors, architects, innovators, artists and visionaries.

Mikel Frank and Gerard Amsellem, the Visual Passion Duo, will exhibit their work from March 2 through April 4. An Art & Music Reception will kick off the Festival on Saturday, March 14 at 2 pm at Main Library. The two artists have worked together for several years on large collaborative paintings. Frank is a visual artist who has exhibited his work in galleries throughout the country, and worked for 26 years as Stage Manager in charge of production for the Metropolitan Museum. Ansellem studied painting in his native Paris, teaches World Film at Livingston High School and has directed a number of short films. As the creator and leader of la Cinémathèque film club. The music of Django Reihnardt will be performed by Martin Leys and Friends.
