Lionel Hampton Big Band

The sensational Lionel Hampton Big Band will be featured in concert again this season by Seton Hall University Arts Council’s Jazz ‘n the Hall in a return performance by popular demand. The spirit and the energy with which the band performs every selection is incredibly exciting and uplifting!

In performance the Lionel Hampton Big Band will reincarnate the energetic arrangements of the legendary jazz great in addition to performing new music in the same ever-present swinging spirit. The Band features Jason Marsalis, drummer, the youngest sibling of the famous Marsalis family of musicians that includes brothers Wynton, Branford, and Delfeayo. Also featured will be world class musicians Cleave Guyton Jr. on saxophone, Lance Bryant on saxophone, and Christian Fabian on bass, all of whom performed with Lionel Hampton.
