Maker Meetup
Are you interested in the Maker Movement? 3d printing? Do you want to find out more about the library’s new Create Space? Join us for a Maker Meetup. A team from the library will demonstrate how they are building a 3d printer out of old computer parts. If you have a project or ideas to share, bring them along! Maker Meetups will be held monthly, for people ages 17 and up.
Maplewood Library’s new Create Space at Hilton Branch offers a variety of high-tech equipment and software for a multitude of creative applications. The Create Space is outfitted with a Maker Gear 3D printer, a laminator and a color printer, as well as 12 Dell laptops loaded with Rhino 3D CAD and other productivity software. There are also project kits for experimenting with electronics, circuits and programming, including Little Bits, Snap Circuits, Raspberry P+ and SparkFun Inventors Kit.
