Maplewood Memorial Day Duck Race

The Memorial Day Maplewood Duck Race will take place on Monday, May 29th, after the Maplewood Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony at Town Hall. Ducks are dumped into the Rahway River for each heat at the Oakview Avenue bridge in Memorial Park.
Prizes include gift certificates to Milk Money, Kimaya Kama, and Gigi’s Cupcakes as well as a number of South Mountain Y memberships and Mets tickets. Get your tickets and cheer your duck to victory and prizes!
Tickets may be purchased online or at one of the following locations:
- South Mountain YMCA Welcome Center– 13 Jefferson Avenue, Maplewood
- South Mountain YMCA Early Childhood Learning Center- 10 West Parker Avenue, Maplewood
- Maplewood Stationers– 171 Maplewood Avenue, Maplewood
- Pet Wants– 67 South Orange Avenue, South Orange
Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships help the YMCA support its pledge not to turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. Local vendors and business make this event possible every year.
