Read Around the World: Our New Book Group Starts In January
Explore thought-provoking fiction from around the globe. Our new book group meets once a month to discuss recent fiction by writers outside the United States.
Meetings are held at 7:00 pm at Main Library, and are facilitated by Librarian Ina Rimpau. They are free and open to the public.
All titles are available from Maplewood Library or through the BCCLS consortium.

We’ll start off the year with Zimbabwe, discussing We Need New Names by NoViolet Bulawayo
With childlike candor and a penetrating grasp of language, 10-year-old Darling describes her life in Zimbabwe during its Lost Decade, and her move to Michigan, away from abject poverty into ostentatious excess.
Wednesday, January 13 7-8 pm at Main Library
