Slow Food Northern NJ’s Winter Farmers Market at Woodland

Fans of local food don’t have to wait until summer to enjoy the Garden State’s famous fresh produce and specialty food. Slow Food Northern New Jersey’s Winter Farmers’ Market returns to the Woodland (60 Woodland Rd. in Maplewood, NJ) for its 4th year from 12-4 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 (Snow date Sunday, February 11, 2018).

At the market, lovers of local food can meet and talk with twenty local vendors selected from growers and producers who embrace Slow Food’s values of good, clean, and fair food, while stocking up on the region’s best winter produce and locally produced treats. The market nourishes community as well: entry donations fund Slow Food Northern NJ’s grants to school and community gardens, helping to provide access to fresh, healthy food in lower-income areas.
