Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic is a compelling documentary on the human papilloma virus (HPV), a complicated and often misunderstood infection. The film follows five women of all walks of life who have had to deal with the consequences of HPV infection and cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is almost exclusively caused by HPV and it is the 2nd most common cancer in women. A discussion will follow, facilitated by Kendra Julien of The Partnership of Maternal Child Health. Kendra is an Adolescent Immunization Specialist.
