South Orange Symphony “Winter Carnival” Family Concert

The South Orange Symphony continues its 67th season presenting a free family-friendly “Winter Carnival” concert on Sunday, February 21st at 3:00 pm in the auditorium of South Orange Middle School, 70 North Ridgewood Road, South Orange. The program is designed to appeal to adults and youngsters alike with music by Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and selections from “Star Wars” by John Williams. Children will have a chance to visit a musical instrument petting zoo, and have an opportunity to dance along with the waltz from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty ballet. The orchestra’s annual Silent Auction fundraiser will also take place.
The South Orange Symphony, now under the direction of Susan Haig of Summit, New Jersey, has been making beautiful music and presenting free concerts since 1949.
