St. George’s Merry Marketplace

St. George’s Merry Marketplace, this year’s holiday bazaar, will be held Saturday, November 12, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Maplewood.
The Marketplace is a wonderful opportunity to get a jump on your holiday shopping. Treasures and treats will available from 13 vendors. New attractions for this year’s holiday bazaar include:
• Kids Zone: Featuring items priced for young pocket books. Only children up to the age of 12 may shop. There will be an area for wrapping and decorating packages, plus crafts-making, face painting, storytelling, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.
• From the Hands of St. Georgians: A variety of items made by St. Georgians will be offered, including honey, plants, baked goods, knitted and sewn items, Christmas decorations and other decorative items.
• The Cookie Jar: Delicious cookies baked by St. Georgians. Customers will purchase a box to fill with a cookie assortment of their choosing. Gluten-free treats will also be available.
• The Café: Delicious luncheon food prepared by Father Bernie Poppe.
• Antiques and Vintage Treasures: Fine antiques, curated by Ulysses Dietz, Chief Curator, Newark Museum, and beautiful vintage items including china and glassware, decorative objects, art work, bar ware, silver and Christmas decorations for sale.
Participating vendors to include: An Affair to Remember (Christmas baskets, ornaments); The Button Girls (jewelry, head bands, belts); Cathy’s Crafts (wall hangings, decorative accessories); Innovative Product Partners (glass tableware, jewelry and gifts); Jamberry nails (nail wraps); Jojo’s Bags and Things (handbags, wallets, scarves, gloves); KK’s (women’s/girls’ clothing); Remy’s Gems (handcrafted jewelry); and Sweet Bee Granola.
Admission is free. All proceeds from the Café and Kids Zone will support the activities of St. George’s Youth Group.
