Timothy B. Schmit is best known as a longtime member of the EAGLES playing bass and singing lead vocals on their hits “I Can’t Tell You Why,” “Love Will Keep Us Alive” and “I Don’t Want To Hear It Anymore.”

At the turn of the 1970s, he joined POCO and helped steer the band into its pioneering fusion of Country, Rock and Folk with founding member Richie Furay. In a recent interview, Timothy said “Richie Furay really took me to another level. Richie mentored me. I watched how he worked as a songwriter and a singer and a performer, and I really learned a lot just by being around him. I consider him one of my best friends, on many levels.”

Richie Furay returns to SOPAC with an acoustic opening set after headlining several of his own sold out shows at SOPAC. As founding member of POCO, he pioneered their unique sound that was the template for all Country-Rock music that followed along with Jim Messina after the disbanding of Buffalo Springfield.
