Toys and Treasures Holiday Concert

December 13, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Maplewood Community Music (MCM) opens its 13th season with “Toys & Treasures”, a full afternoon of seasonal music performed by several of its amateur ensembles. This Dickens Village tradition is free and family-friendly and will feature:

The Maplewood Community Concert Band
The Silvertones (flute choir)
The MCM Sax Quartet
Swingville (jazz combo)
Swing Town (big band)

This event will also be an official “Toys for Tots” collection event. Please consider dropping off a new, unwrapped toy for children who are less fortunate. Collection bins will only be available at the Burgdorff during the concert, 1 – 5 p.m.

Throughout the concert, hot beverages and a variety of delicious baked goods will be available for purchase. 100% of the proceeds will be used by MCM to provide free concerts throughout area communities and support music enrichment programs.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held on Sunday, December 14, 1 – 5 p.m.

MCM ensembles perform at a variety of community events throughout the year. Check the website frequently to find out about all upcoming performances and sign up for our newsletter to receive schedules in your email.

Maplewood Community Music, a local non-profit, is dedicated to giving hobbyist musicians ensembles in which to play, inspiring audiences of all ages with free concerts, and partnering with local organizations to provide and support community and youth music enrichment programs.
