Baby Sitting Course and More for Teens at South Mountain Y

If you want to keep your teen off the streets and out of trouble, there are many options in South Orange and Maplewood.

Today, we’re focusing on teen programs at the South Mountain YMCA. That’s right: The Y isn’t just for little kids!

Teen Trip Saturday: Saturday, September 20 – Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. $30. Bus leaves 9:30 a.m.;  returns by 5 p.m.  Click here for the registration form. (Grades 5-10)
 
Friday Night Game Night: Two hours of gym games and fun at theYMCA.  $10 drop in.  No registration required. (Grades 5-8)

American Red Cross Baby Sitting Course: Saturday, October 18. Have your teen get certified and learn some valuable skills.  This is a American Red Cross Certified training course. Click here for more information and registration details.  (Grades 5-8)

Teen Leaders Interact Club:  “Thisteen” service group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday every month to plan service learning projects around the YMCA and the community. This is a free program. Next meeting is Thursday, September 25. Meetings run 7:30-9:00 p.m. Email  Tommy Donaldson at tdonaldson@metroymcas.org.(Grades 7-12)
