Girl Scout Troop 20321 from South Orange recently ran a Woman in Leadership panel at DeHart Community Center in Maplewood, as part of the Amuse journey project.

The girls wanted to understand the many roles women and girls play in the world around them and what leadership skills are needed for each. The troop decided that to host a panel discussion with women in a variety of different roles would be the best way to learn more about them and what it takes to be successful in these roles. The girls developed questions, sent out invitations and ran the entire panel.

The troop hosted seven women, all from our community: An artist, an actress, a chemist, a scientist, a computer coder, an athlete and an author.
