From the South Mountain YMCA:
The South Mountain YMCA Board of Managers aims to ensure that all families and children have the opportunity to experience the Y, regardless of their ability to pay. The South Mountain Y believes lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. We are thrilled to welcome our newest members to our current board of motivated, involved, insightful individuals. We look forward to another year of amazing community impact!
Madhu Pai, a South Orange resident, is a proud mother of two; a daughter at Columbia High School and a son at South Orange Middle School. Madhu served two-terms on the Board of Education of the South Orange Maplewood School District. Madhu is the Vice President of Brand Marketing and Advertising at Prudential Financial in Newark. The whole-child approach taken by the Y has always appealed to Madhu. She is thrilled to be able to help expand the amazing outreach and opportunities provided to our community through the Y by serving on its board.
Hannah Zollman lives in South Orange with her husband and son, who now attends before and aftercare and summer camp. Hannah is founder and principal of Mission Driven Fundraising. She is excited to deepen her involvement by joining the Board of Managers and bringing her expertise to support its mission ensuring all families and children, regardless of income and cultural background have the opportunity to experience YMCA programming.
Adam Reed works at Microsoft. He, his wife and two children, ages 8 and 6, live in Maplewood and are appreciative of the caregivers at the Y who guided them through many stages of parenting. The Y has connected the Reeds to other parents and helped anchor them within the Maplewood community. Adam wants to expand the visibility of current and future Y programs and the impact in our community.
Shiren Vijiasingam is a Maplewood resident. He and his wife have relied on the Y to help nurture their two children from infancy through school age. He’s inspired by the Y’s mission and — as a leader in education technology — he is passionate about helping individuals become their best selves through learning.
Ginger Bartkoski Meagher leads the Theater Development Funds Education Department, which provides quality arts education and access to Broadway and Off- Broadway theatre in New York City. Ginger is a former AmeriCorps volunteer; as well as leader and founder of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. Ginger serves on the Professional Advisory Board for the University Theatre at The University of Kansas.
Ricky Kwan is moving to Maplewood this summer where his two children have been involved in the Y’s Pre-School, Summer Camps and Before and After School programs. Ricky is Director of Systems Engineering at Verizon where he is proud of his work in building large scale, high performing and happy teams. He is excited to help build a community with equal access to education and programs that are essential to building fulfilling and healthy lifestyles
Thank you for dedicating your time, energy, talents and enthusiasm to helping our communities and the South Mountain YMCA .
