Maplewood & South Orange Celebrate Hanukkah With 3 Menorah Lightings

If you’re looking to sing Ma’Oz Tzur or collect some Hanukkah gelt this season, Maplewood and South Orange have three menorah lightings to brighten your celebration.

The South Orange Menorah Lighting Ceremony takes place on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in Spiotta Park and includes music, hot chocolate and jelly donuts.

On Tuesday, December 8 at 6:15 p.m., the Maplewood Jewish Center will host songs, blessing and Hanukkah gelt at the Maplewood menorah in Maplewood Village at Ricalton Square.

The Holiday Celebration at the Springfield Avenue Gazebo, on Sunday, December 13 will feature live music, hot chocolate, and, at 4:30 p.m., a Tree Lighting, Menorah lighting and Kinara blessings with Mayor Vic DeLuca. (Note: this event is multicultural and does not focus solely on Hanukkah.)
