A caucus of the 2016 Township Committee members voted last night to name Victor De Luca as Mayor of Maplewood for 2016. De Luca will take the oath of office again on Jan. 1 at the Township’s annual reorganization meeting.

2016 will mark De Luca’s eight consecutive year as Mayor. In November, De Luca was named the NJ Municipal Management Association 2015 Elected Official of the Year and was inducted into the NJ League of Municipalities Mayors Hall of Fame.

Nancy Adams will be Deputy Mayor. Adams, who won election this past November alongside Greg Lembrich, will be sworn in as both a Township Committee member and Deputy Mayor on Jan. 1.

The caucus, presided over by Maplewood Democratic Committee leader Ian Grodman, included India Larrier, Marlon K. Brownlee, Vic De Luca, Greg Lembrich and Nancy Adams. The votes were unanimous.
