Maplewood PD: Water Main Break in Millburn Impacting Maplewood

Updated March 28, 2015: NJ American Water has issued a boil water alert for Maplewood, Millburn and Irvington. Water service is expected to be restored by sometime Saturday afternoon. Maplewood Fire Chief says that tanker task force in Springfield will provide water in event of fire.

Residents throughout Maplewood are taking to social media this Friday evening, March 27 to report low water pressure or nonexistent water.

The Maplewood Police Department has confirmed that Millburn and several areas in Maplewood are experiencing low water pressure or no water due to a water main break near the Millburn Train Station.

The Village Green has contacted NJ American Water, the mayor and the Township Administrator and will report any information as it becomes available.
