South Orange-Maplewood Middle Schoolers Shine in Worldwide Math Competitions
In the Math Olympiad, SOMS 8th grader Isabelle Archer received the Highest Individual Scorer trophy for first place at SOMS and an award for a perfect score, achieved by only 105 of the 18,762 contestants worldwide. Archer and Noah Trokenheim (SOMS 7th grader) won Gold Math Olympiad pins for scoring in the top 2% worldwide.
