Art & Music Reception
Saturday, April 11

Artist’s talk at 2:30
Our April exhibit is Luce Mia (My Light), the photographic works of Maplewoodian Jon Fisher. These photographs were inspired during a trip in and around Florence, Rome, and Venice last summer. Utilizing formal design elements in their composition, as well as careful manipulation of tonal values, the images seek to capture a sense of place, infused with timelessness, mystery and passion.
Fisher’s influences include Diane Arbus and Henri Cartier Bresson. He operated a successful commercial photography studio after working with renowned photographers in the fields of advertising, fashion, corporate and editorial photography.
Fisher shares his passion and expertise with young people as a teacher of traditional and digital photography at Columbia High School.

The award-winning Columbia High School Excelsior Singers will perform. Under the direction of Ms. Jamie Bunce-Arraial, this select chamber choir is the premier vocal ensemble of CHS. Film and TV actor Zach Grenier will perform the reading of a letter written by Ansel Adams to his best friend, Cedric Wright.
